Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in a move for Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

According to the publication from the Daily Mirror, Alexandre Lacazette is on the radar of Atletico Manager manager Diego Simeone as a replacement for French World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann this summer.

The French international star is expected to leave Atletico Madrid during this summer’s transfer window with Barcelona seen as his next destination.

Barcelona are said to be closing in on a £107m move for Antoine Griezmann with an official announcement expected in the coming days.

His friend Lacazette could replace him at Atletico Madrid this summer.

Arsenal strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have both been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

Aubameyang is said to be attracting interest from Premier League rivals Manchester United and clubs in China, while Lacazette is an Atletico Madrid target.

Lacazette scored 19 goals in all competitions for Arsenal last season to finish as the second topscorer behind strike buddy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who scored 31 goals in all competitions.

Lacazette scored 13 goals and also added eight assists in the Premier League for the Gunners who missed out on Champions League football for the new season.

Atletico Madrid have an advantage in that regard as they can offer Lacazette Champions League football.
