Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso has announced his intentions for star player Federico Chiesa this summer.
In a chat with popular Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, Rocco Commisso revealed his desire to keep Federico Chiesa at Fiorentina beyond this summer despite the numerous transfer interest in the £70m-rated player.
He is strongly linked with the Premier League duo of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham is believed to be in the driving seat since the player prefers to live in London.
Federico Chiesa is also linked with Italian clubs like Inter Milan and Juventus.
Federico Chiesa is an Italian international and he’s also the son of Enrico Chiesa who’s a former Italian national team player.
He was recently part of the Italy u-21 squad that crashed out of the group stage at the ongoing European Championship on home soil.
The tournament is co-hosted by Italy and San Marino.
Chiesa and Italy were dumped out of the group stage as they failed to make the semifinals of the competition.
Italy finished second place in Group A behind Spain but it was not enough to secure a last four spot.
