Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon have admitted that it would be difficult for the club to retain the services of star midfielder Bruno Fernandes beyond this summer’s transfer window.
According to the latest interview from Sporting Lisbon manager Marcel Keizer as monitored by Portuguese media outlet Record, the Portuguese Super League giants won’t be able to hang on to the services of Bruno Fernandes.
Several Premier League sides are keen on a deal for the 24-year-old midfielder.
Bruno Fernandes has been linked with Premier League clubs like Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United.
The Red Devils are thought to be the front-runners for Bruno Fernandes who broke several goalscoring records last season.
Bruno Fernandes scored 32 goals and also provided 18 assists for Sporting Lisbon in 53 games in all competitions last season.
The Portuguese international midfielder scored 20 goals and also added 13 assists in 33 games in the league alone.
Bruno Fernandes set a new record for the number of goals scored by a midfielder as he broke the record set by Derby County manager Frank Lampard (27 goals) while he was a Chelsea player during the 2009/10 season.
He helped Sporting Lisbon end the season with the Portuguese Cup title at the expense of rivals FC Porto.
