Atletico Madrid Considering Transfer For James Rodriguez



Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are said to be considering a move for Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez this summer.

According to the report from Spanish media outlet Cadena SER, Atletico Madrid want to bolster their squad for the new season with Real Madrid loanee James Rodriguez.

The Colombian international player was surplus to requirements at Real Madrid before his loan move to German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in 2017 and his status is still the same upon his return from his loan spell with the Bavarian giants.

James Rodriguez signed for Bayern Munich on loan for two years for a fee of £11m with the option of a permanent transfer for £36m.

The 27-year-old won two successive league titles with the Bavarian giants during his time at the club.

He also won the German Cup title with Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga champions opted not to make his loan move permanent.

The Chelsea target has been attracting the interest of clubs like Napoli and FC Porto this summer as he plots the next move for his career.

For now, James Rodriguez is currently with the Colombian national team at the ongoing COPA America tournament in Brazil.

James Rodriguez and Colombia will face champions Chile in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Kieran Trippier set to join Atletico Madrid – BBC



Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly in talks to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Atletico Madrid want to sign a new right-back this summer and England international Trippier is being targeted for that position.

Atletico Madrid need a new right-sided defender after Juanfran left the club this summer at the end of his contract.

Kieran Trippier could replace the veteran Spanish international at Atletico Madrid after he was placed on the transfer list at Spurs.

The English defender was a regular for Tottenham Hotspur in their run to the Champions League final last season.

Trippier played a big part in the run to the Champions League final before his Tottenham Hotspur side lost to Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah (penalty) and substitute Divock Origi scored the goals for Liverpool either side of the halftime interval as the Reds won 2-0 to win their first trophy in seven years.

Kieran Trippier might have played his last game for Tottenham Hotspur during that Champions League final clash with Liverpool.

He was linked with Italian Serie A giants Napoli and Manchester United earlier this summer but both clubs have since moved on to other transfer targets.

Newly signed Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix has been unveiled at the new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

The young Portuguese international star was unveiled as the new signing at Atletico Madrid on Monday afternoon.

Joao Felix was recently announced as the club-record signing after Atletico Madrid paid €126m to secure his signing from Portuguese Super League giants Benfica.

The transfer makes the Portuguese teen sensation the fourth most expensive player in the history of world football behind the trio of Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona and Brazil), Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint Germain and France) and Neymar (Paris Saint Germain and Brazil).

Several clubs including Manchester United were linked with Joao Felix before Atletico Madrid won the race to sign him.

Other clubs like PSG, Liverpool, Juventus, Manchester City and Real Madrid were all linked with the teenage forward.

Joao Felix came through the ranks at Benfica before making his debut for the first team.

The 19-year-old made his breakthrough season in the colours of Benfica in the last campaign.

His best game for Benfica came in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals against German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.

Joao Felix scored a treble in a 4-2 win over the Germans.

La Liga Giant Announce Free Transfer Signing Of Arsenal Target




Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have announced the signing of Mexican international midfielder Hector Herrera from Portuguese Super League club on a free transfer.

The official announcement was made on Wednesday evening via the various social media handles of Atletico Madrid.

It was also revealed that the Mexican midfielder will be unveiled as an Atletico Madrid player at the new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Thursday.

Hector Herrera joins Atletico Madrid on a free transfer after his FC Porto contract expired at the end of last month.

The 29-year-old was previously linked with a free transfer move to Premier League giants Arsenal as well as the Italian Serie A duo of AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Hector Herrera scored 35 goals and also added 35 assists in 245 appearances as an FC Porto player.

He was named the 2014/15 Player of the Year at FC Porto and also won the Portuguese top flight title with the club last season.

Hector Herrera has missed out of the 2019 Gold Cup tournament this summer in a bid to sort out his future.

The Mexican international was previously part of the squads of the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup games.

He has penned a three year deal at Atletico Madrid until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Atletico Agree €126m Deal For Joao Felix




Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have agreed on a club-record deal for Joao Felix from Portuguese Super League giants Benfica.

The deal for Joao Felix was announced by Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening.

Earlier reports had claimed that Atletico Madrid were willing to meet his €120m at Benfica.

The Spaniards have paid more than the release for the Portuguese teen sensation after they agreed on a fee of €126m for him.

The said amount makes him the third most expensive player in the history of world football (excluding bonuses).

Only Neymar (€222m) and Kylian Mbappe (€135m) have gone for more money.

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe both play their club football for French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

Joao Felix enjoyed a breakthrough season for Benfica in the last campaign as he helped the team reclaim the league title from FC Porto.

He was a subject of a €61m bid from Liverpool last year but Benfica wanted more money for the 19-year-old attacker.

Joao Felix produced his best display in a Benfica shirt when he netted a treble to become the first teenager to achieve that feat in the history of the Europa League.

The treble came during the Europa League quarterfinal clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The French international star is expected to leave Atletico Madrid during this summer’s transfer window with Barcelona seen as his next destination.

Barcelona are said to be closing in on a £107m move for Antoine Griezmann with an official announcement expected in the coming days.

His friend Lacazette could replace him at Atletico Madrid this summer.

Arsenal strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have both been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

Aubameyang is said to be attracting interest from Premier League rivals Manchester United and clubs in China, while Lacazette is an Atletico Madrid target.

Lacazette scored 19 goals in all competitions for Arsenal last season to finish as the second topscorer behind strike buddy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who scored 31 goals in all competitions.

Lacazette scored 13 goals and also added eight assists in the Premier League for the Gunners who missed out on Champions League football for the new season.

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann will reportedly sign a contract with Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona on Monday.

This is according to the publication from the stables of French news outlet L’Equipe which revealed that Man Utd target Griezmann will sign a lucrative contract with Barcelona on Monday.

Antoine Griezmann has repeatedly been linked with Premier League giants Manchester United but it seems like the Red Devils will miss out on him to Barcelona.

It was revealed that he would sign a five-year contract at Barcelona worth a whopping €85m.

Antoine Griezmann will earn €17m on a yearly basis at the Nou Camp.

The Atletico Madrid forward had earlier confirmed that he will leave the club this summer.

French World Cup winner Griezmann made this known shortly before the end of the latest Spanish La Liga season last summer.

Barcelona are expected to complete his signing in the coming days after the former European champions agreed to activate the £107m release clause in his contract at Atletico Madrid.

Apart from Griezmann, Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Neymar who’s keen to return the club this summer after two years in France.

Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has been assured of his future at the new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium beyond this summer.

According to the publication from the stables of popular English news outlet Goal, Atletico Madrid are trying to sign Morata permanently this summer.

Alvaro Morata signed for Atletico Madrid on loan during the winter transfer window earlier this year.

He joined Atletico Madrid on an 18-month loan deal until next summer for a fee of £4.4m.

Chelsea can recall the striker back to the club though Morata is keen to stay in Spain.

Morata has publicly talked about how his difficulty at Chelsea and that he would like to stay at Atletico Madrid.

The 26-year-old wants to turn his loan deal into a permanent transfer.

Atletico Madrid have the voluntary clause to sign Morata for around £48m in addition to the aforementioned loan fee.

The Rojiblancos have the cash to sign both Alvaro Morata and Portuguese teen sensation Joao Felix who has a release clause of £112m at Benfica.

Portuguese champions Benfica have confirmed that Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have made a club-record offer for young attacker Joao Felix.

The Reds were said to have made a £61m bid for the Portuguese teen sensation towards the end of last year only for the Merseysiders to be rebuffed in their attempt to sign the player.

Apart from Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, Joao Felix has also been linked with clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

Joao Felix is expected to be the club-record signing for Atletico Madrid when he joins them this summer.
