Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United are considering a move for Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti this summer according to the latest reports emanating from the media in the European nation of Spain.

Barcelona want to sell the French defender this summer and are open to offers for the player.

French World Cup winner Umtiti has already revealed that he wants to see out the remaining four years on his contract with the Catalan giants.

The 25-year-old centre back joined Barcelona from Lyon in the summer of 2017.

He formed a potent centre back partnership with Gerard Pique at the heart of the Barcelona defence before injuries prompted him to lose his place to compatriot Christian Lenglet.

Samuel Umtiti remains the first choice for the French national team ahead of Christian Lenglet as he partners with Real Madrid star Raphael Varane at the heart of the defence for world champions France.
