Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam have reportedly asked for €75m from Italian Serie A champions Juventus for one of their star players from the just concluded season.
Ajax Amsterdam centre back Matthijs De Ligt was one of the standout performers for the Dutch Eredivisie giants during the latest season which ended in May.
His form has attracted a lot of attention from the best of the best clubs on the European football scene.
The likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus, Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have all been linked with the 19-year-old defender.

Barcelona were thought to be the favourites for his signature and recent reports revealed that the player has agreed to move to Juventus this summer and that Matthijs De Ligt has agreed on personal terms with the Italians. To this effect, Ajax Amsterdam have slapped a €75m transfer fee on their skipper.
Matthijs De Ligt was one of the standout performers for Ajax Amsterdam in the last campaign.
The young Dutch defender led Ajax Amsterdam to two major titles namely the Dutch Eredivisie title and the Dutch Cup title.
Matthijs De Ligt also led Ajax Amsterdam to the Champions League semifinals before they were knocked out by Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.
