English Championship club Stoke City are among the plethora of clubs interested in a move for unsettled Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic during this summer’s transfer window.

The Bournemouth shot stopper will hold showdown talks with club officials over his future after he was sidelined by manager Eddie Howe in the second half of last season.

According to the publication from the stables of the Daily Star, Stoke City are monitoring the situation of their former goalkeeper.

Asmir Begovic was at the Britannia Stadium before he signed for Europa League winners Chelsea.

The 32-year-old left Chelsea to join Bournemouth in the summer of 2017 in a deal reported to be around £9m.

Asmir Begovic was part of the Chelsea team that last won the Premier League title during the 2016/17 under the guidance of former manager Antonio Conte.

The Bosnian shot stopper was the first choice goalkeeper at Bournemouth until he was dropped from the starting XI by Eddie Howe during the second half of the season.

Asmir Begovic is rated at £10m at the moment and he has been attracting the interest of several clubs on the European football stage.

Apart from Stoke City, he has been linked with clubs like Fenerbahce, Olympiacos, Watford and West Ham United.
