English Championship club West Brom are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson.

The latest reports from the British media revealed that the Baggies want to sign the aforementioned Jenkinson who’s presently on weekly wages of £45,000.

Carl Jenkinson has been at Arsenal since he joined from fellow London club Charlton Athletic.

The Gunners paid €2m to secure his transfer from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2011.

Carl Jenkinson is a known Arsenal fan and he has been farmed out on loan on numerous occasions.

The 27-year-old spent two years on loan at fellow Premier League club West Ham United in addition to a latter loan spell at English Championship side Birmingham City.

Apart from West Brom, Carl Jenkinson is also attracting the interest of Scottish Premiership champions Celtic this summer.

The Baggies will have to contend with the threat of Chelsea in the quest to sign Carl Jenkinson.

The England international made just nine appearances for Arsenal in all competitions scoring one goal for his beloved club.

Carl Jenkinson was also an unused substitute for the Gunners in the Europa League final which ended on a losing note for the Gunners.

Arsenal were beaten 4-1 by London rivals Chelsea in that final.
