Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly interested in a move for wantaway Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi who has been a long-term target for rivals Chelsea.

The interest of Manchester United was confirmed by the Daily Express.

Inter Milan are ready to ditch striker Mauro Icardi this summer and its mainly because of his disciplinary issues with the Nerazzuri targeting a move for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

The aforementioned publication revealed that a swap deal is a possibility between the two sides but Manchester United are sceptical about the disciplinary issues of Mauro Icardi.

Inter Milan have already concluded plans to sell Argentine international Mauro Icardi to fund a move for former Chelsea player Lukaku and a swap deal involving the two players would make things easier for all the parties involved.

New Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte tried to sign Romelu Lukaku in 2017 while he was the Chelsea boss but the Blues played second fiddle to Premier alegaue rivals Manchester United in that regard.

Lukaku scored 27 goals in his first season as a Manchester United player thus finishing the leading goalscorer at Manchester United for that season.

The Belgian national team striker then scored 15 goals in his second season which was the last campaign.
