European champions Liverpool have been rocked by the news that Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur have requested for Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio to be included in a possible transfer for their midfielder Christian Eriksen.

The Sun claimed that Spurs want Marco Asensio to be a part of the deal for Christian Eriksen whom Real Madrid are interested in as their search for a midfielder continues.

The Los Merengues want to sign a new midfielder during this summer’s transfer window and Danish national team player Eriksen is on their transfer list.

Christian Eriksen has been a key player for Tottenham since he joined them from Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam in the summer of 2013.

Christian Eriksen was one of the several players signed by Tottenham Hotspur after the North Londoners received €100m for the transfer of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.

Spurs paid £10.9m to sign Christian Eriksen from Ajax Amsterdam.

Apart from Real Madrid, Eriksen has been linked with clubs like Inter Milan, Juventus and Manchester United.

The aforementioned report had said that Spurs turned down £45m plus Dani Ceballos for Christian Eriksen from Real Madrid and that the Premier League giants want Marco Asensio in the deal for their player.
