Champions League holders Liverpool and Man United have been dealt a big blow following the news that Italian Serie A giants Juventus have won the race to sign highly rated Ajax Amsterdam defender Matthijs De Ligt.
According to Sky Sports Italia, Juventus have won the keenly contested race to sign the 19-year-old Dutch international centre back.
It was revealed that the young player has been offered a lucrative five-year contract to become a Juventus player.

In addition, Juventus have made a €70m (£62m) bid for the Ajax Amsterdam skipper.
