English Premier League outfit Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has been given the option to leave Anfield this summer transfer window if he cannot be guaranteed of a future at the club.
The option was given to him by the club legend John Barnes, who claims that Dejan Lovren would not be blamed should he take such a decision in the future.
John Barnes noted that the return of Joe Gomez to the team means a lot and it would have an effect on the playing time of the star player, stressing that Dejan Lovren has got the option to leave if he is not happy without a first-team football.

However, the legend showered praise on Dejan Lovren, claiming that he will always give an option to the manager even if any of the other players are injured and that makes him very important to the team.
Meanwhile, the former player will prefer Dejan Lovren to remain at the club for more years with the hope that he will have an increase playing time in future.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp will not release any of his players to leave the club, especially from the defence because of how important they are to winning another UEFA Champions League.
