There seem to be nothing beneficial for Man United in the expected move of Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku from the club to Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan aside the fee that would be paid.

Romelu Lukaku had a frustrating last season and has opted to leave the club by declaring his love for Serie A, while Inter Milan new manager Antonio Conte is also a fan of the striker.

The Red Devils had, therefore, made an arrangement to snap up another player in addition to the fee that would be paid but that will not happen as it has been rejected.

An attempt by Man United to have included defender Milan Skriniar in a potential deal was rejected, according to reports in Italy.

Man United are desperate to rebuild their team and have a need for defenders with the Inter Milan player tipped to be a good deal for the club but that hope is ended.

This remains a blow to the Red Devils knowing that the demand of £75 million for the Belgium international would not be met by the Serie A outfit.

However, it is expected that negotiations would only be centered on the 26-year-old for a deal.
