It is now becoming a reality that West London outfit Chelsea will be without Italian boss Maurizio Sarri in the coming season as he is close to bowing out.

The Italian boss only left Napoli to join Chelsea in the last summer transfer window and he is set to exit after finding his one-year stay very frustrating.

It is claimed that he has already agreed on a deal with Italian Serie A champions Juventus and could be announced any time soon.

This, therefore, turns attention to former Chelsea player Frank Lampard as a replacement, as it is suggested that he would be a better choice because of his knowledge of the team.

However, it is claimed that the West London outfit have already opened talks for a possible deal with the Chelsea legend.

Lampard has been impressive with Derby County as he was close to securing their qualifications to the playoff. He is tipped to be ready for a bigger role at Stamford Bridge.

However, he is not alone on the wish list of the club with the likes of Nuno Espirito Santo, Javi Gracia, Maximiliano Allegri and Erik ten Hag as candidates, but Frank Lampard is tipped to be most preferred.
