Three-time European champions Manchester United have reportedly made a last-ditch attempt to hijack the transfer of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann from under the noses of Barcelona.
According to The Sun, Manchester United are willing to spend £95m to sign Barcelona-bound Griezmann.
Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann had earlier announced that he will end his five-year association with Atletico Madrid this summer and that prompted transfer links with clubs like French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Spanish champions Barcelona and Manchester United.

Barcelona are the overwhelming favourites to sign the French World Cup winner, especially after Atletico Madrid president Angel Gil Marin, confirmed an agreement with the Catalan giants earlier this year.
Antoine Griezmann signed for Spanish club Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2014 as a direct replacement for Diego Costa who was sold to Premier League giants Chelsea in a £32m deal.
The 28-year-old joined Atletico Madrid from fellow Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad and he has been a key player for the Rojiblancos since his signing.
The signing of the French forward would be a major transfer coup for Manchester United who are looking to rebuild their squad after a disappointing Premier League season which ended in sixth position.

Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United will have to contend with three other European heavyweights if they want to sign Juventus midfielder Emre Can.
This is according to the latest reports coming out of the Italian media.

According to the specific publication from the stables of Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Emre Can is attracting the interest of four big clubs on the European football scene.

Apart from Manchester United, French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are in the running to sign the German international.
It was also revealed that the player prefers a move to the other three clubs over Manchester United.
Emre Can has been on the outskirts of the Juventus XI since Maurizio Sarri became the manager in the summer.
He was left out of Champions League squad at Juventus to further highlight his non-importance to the team.
Emre Can was at Liverpool for four years between 2014 and 2018 before he joined Juventus on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract with the reigning European champions and Merseyside giants Liverpool.
Ex-Arsenal, Spurs Attacker Terminates Contract, Becomes Free Agent
Former Premier League striker Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor is now a free agent after his contract with Turkish Super League side Kayserispor was terminated.
He had joined Kayserispor in the summer and went on to score two league goals in eight appearances for the Turkish club.
The Togolese international had more success with Istanbul Basaksehir FC of Turkey where he scored 24 league goals.
Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor played for clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace in the English top flight.

The Nigerian-born Togolese international has struggled to hit the heights he attained at Arsenal with the other clubs he featured for till date.
His best season as a professional player was the 2007/08 campaign when he scored 30 goals for Arsenal while Arsene Wenger was still the manager.
Chelsea Keen To Sign This Pacey Winger In January
Europa League winners Chelsea are reportedly keen to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha during the January transfer market which opens again in the next few weeks.
According to The Independent, Chelsea want to sign the in-form Zaha if their transfer ban is overturned at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
Chelsea are in the midst of a two-window transfer ban imposed on them by world football’s governing body FIFA due to their culpability in the signing of underage players.
The Blues had earlier made an appeal to FIFA over the transfer ban and it was thrown out thereby prompting them to take the matter to CAS.

Zaha has scored two goals in the last three games for Crystal Palace.
Why Perez Wants To Spend Just €50m On Paul Pogba
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba will have to wait for his dream move to Real Madrid if reports coming out of the media is anything to go by.
According to sources close to ESPN, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez won’t spend more than €50m on Paul Pogba and that would effectively rule out a move for him.
Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo had earlier talked about what is needed to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.
It was disclosed that Real Madrid will have to pay at least £120m to prise Paul Pogba away from the Red Devils.

Paul Pogba previously talked about Real Madrid in glowing terms and he might have to wait for his chance to join the Los Merengues.
The Frenchman is currently out injured with an ankle problem that has restricted him to just six games this season.
He could make his return from injury for the blockbuster Manchester Derby clash in the Premier League this weekend.

Chelsea Can Now Sign Players For This Reason
Europa League winners Chelsea are free to sign players in the January transfer window after their transfer ban was lifted earlier today.
Chelsea were given a two-window transfer ban by FIFA earlier this year for their involvement with underage players and that prompted them to take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) after their appeal to FIFA was turned down.
The Blues have already served a transfer window ban during this summer’s transfer window.
The CAS hearing took place earlier today and the FIFA ruling was partially upheld but the transfer ban was reduced from two transfer windows to one transfer window which had already been served by Chelsea in the summer.

Ex-Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Espanyol manager Mauricio Pochettino is no longer in the running for the vacant managerial job at German champions Bayern Munich.
This is according to the newest reports emanating from the German media which revealed that Mauricio Pochettino won’t be the man to replace Niko Kovac at Bayern Munich.
The Bavarian giants sacked Niko Kovac last month shortly after the 5-1 thrashing handed out to them by Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga.

Pochettino was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur last month after he led the team to their worst start in the Premier League for many years.
The Argentine tactician has been linked with the managerial job at Arsenal and Manchester United though the former is more likely at this point since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still in his job as the Red Devils boss.
Arsenal are looking for a replacement for manager Unai Emery and Mauricio Pochettino is said to be on their shortlist.
