Europa League finalists Arsenal are plotting a move for highly rated AS Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini during this summer’s transfer window according to the latest reports from the British media.
The Gunners have a midfield spot to fill in the wake of the exit of Welsh international star Aaron Ramsey.
According to the specific publication from the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are interested in Italian international Pellegrini who has a £27m release clause in his current deal with Italian capital club AS Roma.
The Italians are not ready to sell one of their best players as they have plans to give the 22-year-old a new deal to increase his release clause.

Apart from the Gunners, Lorenzo Pellegrini is also attracting interest from another Premier League club in Tottenham Hotspur.
Italian Serie A giants such as Inter Milan and AC Milan are also in the running to sign the AS Roma midfielder.
Arsenal need a new midfielder after Ramsey was released earlier this summer following the expiration of his contract.
Ramsey will join Italian champions Juventus after agreeing on a free transfer move to Turin.
The 28-year-old has agreed on a four-year deal with the Old Lady with weekly wages reported to be around £400,000 this making him the highest earner amongst British footballers.
