AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is closing in on a move to Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers according to the newest reports from the British media.

Franck Kessie is in his third season at seven-time champions AC Milan after joining the Rossoneri from fellow Italian Serie A outfit Atalanta.

According to Birmingham Mail, Wolves are edging closer to a January transfer for Frank Kessie.

It was revealed that the earlier reports claimed that the Midlands club had agreed on a move for the Ivorian international star since the summer but that is wide off the mark.

Franck Kessie had previously been linked with the London duo of Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Ivorian midfielder was a transfer target for the two London clubs in the summer though the Blues were unable to make any transfer due to the FIFA ban.

Chelsea were handed a transfer ban for two windows after they were deemed to have breached rules about signing players under the age of 18 by world football’s governing body FIFA.

The West Londoners appealed to FIFA over the ruling but their appeal was thrown out thereby prompting them to take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) with the ruling expected later this month.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has finally made his transfer wish-list for the upcoming winter transfer window and the Frenchman has decided to launch another transfer bid for his longtime target Paul Pogba.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Galacticos manager is targeting five players with his countryman at the top of the list.

In the report, the former Juventus star is Zidane’s prime target while Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandez, Fabian Ruiz and Donny van de Beek are also included in the manager’s list of wanted players.

This means that Solskjaer could be forced to look for Paul Pogba’s replacement next year due to Zidane’s undying interest in the playmaker.

Having said that, Zidane’s speculated transfer list also boosted United’s hopes of signing James Rodriguez and Isco in January.

Tuttomercatoweb revealed that Zidane is willing to release both players to create space for incoming players.

The two attack-minded players aren’t rated by the French tactician and he’s ready to cash-in on their signatures.

James has always been linked with a switch to the Premier League giants, hence, this will serve as good news to the Red Devils board members.

As for Isco, it remains unknown if the Red Devils are willing to lure the Spaniard to the Theatre of Dreams.

Mario Balotelli

Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini has revealed the reason why Brescia striker Mario Balotelli was not called up to his squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Armenia.

According to him, Ex-Liverpool attacker Mario Balotelli has not done enough to deserve an invitation to the Italy squad.

His last invitation to the Italian national team squad was in September 2018.

Roberto Mancini was reacting to the statement credited to the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) boss Gabriele Gravina.

The FIGC boss had said that Mario Balotelli should be called up to the Italian national team squad to send a message to racists in the country.

The Italian football scene has been littered with racist incidents and Mario Balotelli has been a victim.

He almost walked out of the recent league game between Hellas Verona and Brescia because of racism.

The Italian striker was cajoled back to the pitch by his Brescia teammates during the game which ended in a 2-1 win for hosts Hellas Verona.

Italy is in very good shape under former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini and they have a perfect record in their Euro 2020 qualifiers.

They have won all their eight games in the qualifiers.

Should Solskjaer Move For 19-year-old Star Who Impressed United’s Scout?

Parma forward Dejan Kulusevski reportedly impressed United’s scouts during their 2-0 victory over Roma last weekend.

The Red Devils scouts were among the spectators to run the rule over the United’s loanee Chris Smalling, who has been wonderful for Roma this season, but it was the 19-year-old attacker who got their attention following a blistering display during the encounter.

Italian media Corriere della Sera claimed that the scouts couldn’t help but pay attention to Kulusevski’s performance throughout the game.

The player is on loan from Atlanta and he’s expected to return to the club by the end of the season.

However, Kulusevski is valued at £21m by the Serie A giants and he has reportedly attracted interests from Southampton and Wolves ahead of the winter market.

Should United move for the youngster? That’s the question that would be perfectly answered by the gaffer himself.

Nonetheless, I think there’s no need to compete with the Saints and Wolves for the player as there is a certain promising Mason Greenwood at Old Trafford.

The academy product is doing great at the moment, hence, there is no need bringing another inexperienced striker to the Theatre of Dreams in January.

If Solskjaer must sign a new striker in the winter, in-form RB Leipzig star is Timo Werner should be his prime target due to the player’s youthfulness, goalscoring prowess, and experience.
