Real Madrid are in the quest to capture another player from the English premier league to further bolster their squad at the Santiago Bernabeu ahead of the next season, and two key midfielders in the league have been mentioned as the next target for Zinedine Zidane.
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in recent weeks have been in the news as the next focus for a move to Spain however according to a report from The Independent, the 13 times champions league winners are set to cast aside their interest in the Manchester United star in favor of signing Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur.
Ever since Zidane returned to managerial duties at Madrid in March, he has often times been linked as wanting to add his fellow compatriot to his squad and the player himself in a few interviews have hinted that he would love a move to the Spanish champions.

As the transfer window is currently in progress, several reports have suggested that Spanish champions might prefer a move for Christain Eriksen ahead of Pogba as the Danish playmaker recently revealed that he is ready for a new challenge in his career, hinting that a potential transfer to Real Madrid would appeal to him.
With the player stating an interest in leaving North London this summer and also with the fact that he is set to enter the final year of his contract, Real Madrid will prefer to pursue him ahead of Pogba and a deal worth over 80 million pounds have been brought to the table for the player.
