Arsenal Send Scouts To Watch Dayot Upamecano Ahead Of Potential Transfer
North London giants Arsenal have sent scouts to run the rule over highly rated RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
This is according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Mirror which claimed that the young French defender was watched by Arsenal scouts while he was in action for France u-21 team on Monday night.
It was revealed that the 20-year-old played for 70 minutes during the game which ended in a 3-0 win over Belgium.
Dayot Upamecano is seen as an alternative to top defensive transfer target Samuel Umtiti.

The French World Cup winner is the major transfer target for Arsenal defensively but the Gunners won’t be able to afford his £50m valuation in addition to the fact that the player is keen to spend the remaining four years on his Barcelona contract with the Spanish club.
Arsenal are also eyeing a summer move for Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen who’s likely to set the Gunners back for just half of the asking price slapped on Samuel Umtiti by Barcelona.
The Gunners are keen to solve their defensive problems by boosting the squad with at least one top quality defender after Arsenal conceded 52 goals in just 38 league games during the just concluded league season.
