Manchester United have reportedly tabled a new contract offer for David De Gea during last week but the Spaniard is yet to accept the offer.
According to Don Balon in the early hours of today, the world-class goalkeeper has revealed the reason behind his decision to hold the renewal of his contract. The Spaniard has listed some players he wants to see in Mourinho’s team before he would put pen to paper.
Don Balon reports that Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti, who is considering leaving Camp Nou in the summer as his contract is not sorted out, is one the players who are wanted by the Spaniard. Umtiti has a release clause of £53million in his current contract with Barcelona which means United won’t sign him for any price below his release clause.
They also suggest that two Juventus players are also in De Gea’s list of players. Argentina forward Paulo Dybala, who was United’s initial transfer target during the winter transfer window before they turned to Alexis Sanchez, is also wanted by the impressive goalie.

The Old Lady midfielder Miralem Pjanic completes the list of players who Mourinho must sign if he wants the 27-year-old netminder to remain at Old Trafford for a long period of time.
It is believed that De Gea has a great affection towards the listed players due to their work rate in matches played by their respective clubs so far this season and he believes they will improve Manchester United quality should they switch to the theatre of dreams.
It is yet to be seen if Mourinho would want to go against his decision of not signing a new striker in the summer.
