2006 Champions League finalists Arsenal have reportedly made a bid for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) defender Thomas Meunier in their quest to sign the Belgian international right-back.
According to the publication from popular Italian transfer news Tutto Mercato Web (TMW) via Goal, the Gunners want to sign Thomas Meunier this summer.
The Gunners are looking for a new right-back for the start of next season with first choice Hector Bellerin expected to miss the opening weeks of the new campaign.
Spanish international Hector Bellerin suffered a serious knee injury during the Premier League game with London rivals Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in January and he won’t be fit for the start of the new season billed to start as from the 10th of August.

Stephan Lichtsteiner deputized for Bellerin after his injury but the Swiss international player won’t be at Arsenal next season after his contract expires this month thereby leaving Ainsley Maitland-Niles as the only right-back option for the start of the new season.
Maitland-Niles is a midfielder by trade but the young English player can fill many roles including right-back and left-back.
Another right-back option Carl Jenkinson is deemed to be surplus to requirements and he would be sold this summer to raise funds for new players like the aforementioned Meunier.
