Emerging reports hint that West London outfit Chelsea could part ways with their star Defender Marcos Alonso in this summer transfer window.
Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in his signature and they are said to be close to agreeing on a deal ahead of the summer window.
It could be argued that Marcos Alonso has not been a standout for the Blues team over the last year or two, it cannot be taken away from him that he still possesses some quality, especially in the attacking 3rd.
The La Liga outfit are set to part ways with Lucas Hernandez after he had agreed to a deal with German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich, and see the 28-year-old Spanish left-foot as the ideal fit.

There is no doubt that Marcos Alonso will be brought in as a starter in the Spanish capital.
What would be a challenge to the deal is the fact that Chelsea might not be willing to let him go with manager Maurizio Sarri already claiming that no member of his team would be allowed to leave the club in this summer window.
Chelsea is currently under a transfer ban which makes it difficult to land new players as replacements for departing ones.
