Despite their dominance in English football during the just concluded season, Manchester City are keen to bolster their squad with the signing of Joao Felix.
According to The Sun, Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano met with the Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira and the player’s agent Jorge Mendes yesterday to discuss the potential transfer of the young attacker.
Joao Felix could replace Manchester City winger Leroy Sane who’s attracting serious interest from German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich this summer.
Sane is said to be open to the idea of returning to Germany despite the fact that he has two years left on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium.
Apart from Manchester City, Manchester United are also in the running to sign Joao Felix.
