Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign highly rated Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso during this summer’s transfer window.
This is according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Mail which claimed that the Red Devils are the third team to show concrete interest in the player.
Manchester United joined the duo of North London giants Tottenham Hotspur and Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid in the race to sign Giovani Lo Celso who’s rated €100m by his club.
It was revealed that Spurs have made an opening offer of €60m for the hugely talented midfielder.
The 23-year-old was the standout player for Real Betis during the just concluded Spanish La Liga season.
Argentine international Lo Celso scored 16 goals for Real Betis in all competitions this season.
The former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) player had several scouts from the major European clubs in attendance on numerous occasions over the course of the season.
Manchester United are in the market for a new midfielder in the wake of the exit of Ander Herrera and Giovanni Lo Celso could be their man.
Spanish international Ander Herrera is expected to join PSG on a free transfer in the coming days after agreeing a four-year contract.
