Europa League finalists Arsenal have been dealt a major transfer blow following the news that one of their targets will stay at his German club.

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz has been strongly linked with a summer move to Arsenal but the young midfielder is almost certain to remain at the Bay Arena next season.

Club manager Peter Bosz confirmed in his recent interview that Kai Havertz will stay at the club beyond this summer.

In a chat with the official TV of Bayer Leverkusen, Bayer 04 TV, Peter Bosz revealed that Havertz will stay at the club next season while he was less convinced about the future of Julian Brandt.

Peter Bosz revealed that Liverpool target Brandt might still stay at the club after Bayer Leverkusen sealed a spot in the Champions League next season.

Bayer Leverkusen qualified for Europe’s premier club competition by beating Hertha Berlin 5-1 on Saturday.

Julian Brandt scored one of the goals for Bayer Leverkusen during the game that could be his last for the German Bundesliga club.

It was his 10th goal for Bayer Leverkusen this season in addition to his 17 assists.

On his part, Kai Havertz has scored 20 goals for Leverkusen this season in all competitions and was previously linked with Arsenal earlier in the season.
