Premier League giants Manchester United have moved to ward off the interest of clubs like Real Madrid and Juventus by slapping a big transfer fee on star player Paul Pogba.
This is according to the publication from the Daily Star which claimed that Manchester United have set an asking price of £138m for French player Pogba.
The 26-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from the club and potential suitors will have to come up with a nine-figure transfer fee to snap him up this summer.
Paul Pogba endured a series of inconsistent displays for Manchester United during the recently concluded Premier League season and it was still more than enough for him to make the PFA Team of the Season.
He was the only player who made the said team outside the two top teams namely Premier League champions Manchester City and runners-up Liverpool.
At the end of the Premier League season, Pogba scored 13 goals and also weighed in with nine assists to finish the season as the topscorer for Manchester United as well as the player with the most goal contributions at Old Trafford.
Pogba fuelled a possible move to Real Madrid earlier this year after he revealed his desire to play for the outgoing European champions and a possible return to former club Juventus has also been mentioned in the media.
