Costa Reveals Doubts About Ronaldo At Juventus
Juventus winger Douglas Costa has revealed that he had doubts about Cristiano Ronaldo following his big money move to the club at the start of the season.
The Brazilian international told YouTube channel De Sola that he had doubts on whether Ronaldo will affect the balance of the club negatively.
Douglas Costa further pointed out that the Portuguese national team captain has been able to clear those doubts with his performances on the pitch.
Former Manchester United superstar Ronaldo left European champions Real Madrid for Juventus for a club-record fee of at least €100m at the start of the season.
He was previously at Manchester United before joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2009 for a then world-record fee of £80m.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been in very good form for Juventus this season with 24 goals scored in all competitions with 19 of those coming in the league.
The 34-year-old repaid part of his transfer fee after he scored a treble to lead Juventus to a 3-0 win over Spanish giants Atletico Madrid at home in what was their Champions League last 16 second leg clash.
With the result on Tuesday night, Ronaldo and Juventus were able to overturn a first-leg deficit of 2-0 to qualify for the quarterfinals via a 3-2 aggregate win.
