£55m star tells Liverpool to take the Champions League

Kevin De Bruyne

The just-concluded English Premier League season remains one of the most competitive in its history as no winner was decided until the last match day.

There was a high level of competition between the Merseyside outfit Liverpool and Manchester City as the Citizens were meant to stay until the last day before securing the league title with just a point win.

This is the second consecutive time that Manchester City will win the Premier League title in a row after winning it ahead of the Reds team in the 2017/2018 season.

However, Kevin De Bruyne has sent a message to the Merseyside outfit, stating that he does not feel sorry for them because they would have done the same in their own case.

According to him, Manchester City are the best team in the English Premier League despite waiting until the last day to lift the trophy.

He, therefore, claims that Liverpool has got an opportunity to have their own share with the Champions League, hence he said they can have it.

After defeating Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona in the semi-finals Liverpool has set up a final clash against North London outfit Tottenham Hotspurs in the all-English clash.

A win for Liverpool will be a consolation to their title means this season.
