Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has dampened the expectations of the fans over the signing of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
In his recent interview as monitored by Sky Sports News, Valverde told reporters that there would be no new signings at Barcelona until after the Spanish Copa Del Rey final.
Barcelona will attempt to win a domestic double when they face Valencia in the final of the Copa Del Rey on May 25.
The Spanish champions had been expected to complete the transfer for the long-term Manchester United target having expressed the willingness to activate the £108m release clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid.
French World Cup winner Griezmann was previously a transfer target for Manchester United but the Red Devils will have to miss out on him to Barcelona.
The Spanish champions are the overwhelming favourites to sign him this summer after expressing his interest to leave the club after five years.
Antoine Griezmann signed for Atletico Madrid from fellow Spanish La Liga outfit Real Sociedad in the summer of 2014 and he was part of the team that reached the 2016 Champions League final before they were beaten on penalties by city rivals Real Madrid after the two sides played 1-1 at the end of extra time.
