Three-time European champions Manchester United are lining up a £40m move for highly rated Lyon striker Moussa Dembele during the transfer window this summer.
This is according to the report from popular media outlet Metro.
Manchester United have concluded to strengthen their playing squad in the forward positions and the aforementioned Dembele could be an option for the Red Devils.
Romelu Lukaku has talked up a possible move to Italy with Inter Milan said to be interested in his services and Moussa Dembele could be a good replacement for the Belgian international if he decides to leave Manchester United.
French striker Moussa Dembele has been in very good form for Lyon since his move from Scottish champions Celtic last summer.
He has not always been the first choice striker at Lyon with manager Bruno Genesio a big fan of playing Dutch winger Memphis Depay as a false nine but the Frenchman has been able to weigh in with his own fair share of goals.
The 22-year-old has scored 19 goals and also provided five assists in 44 games for Lyon in all competitions with 14 goals and four assists coming in the league alone.
He has helped Lyon to edge closer to Champions League qualification for next season.
