Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is set to snub a return to Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur this summer according to the publication from popular English news portal Daily Mirror.
The Welsh international is battling to save his career at Real Madrid amidst transfer rumours that he could leave this summer on the back of being dropped from the squad for the last two games.
Gareth Bale was dropped by Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane from the squad for the last two league games in the Spanish top flight.
The Welsh attacker missed the 3-2 home win over Villarreal after he was dropped before the same fate befell him ahead of the 3-1 defeat at the hands of hosts Real Sociedad at the weekend.
He might not play for Real Madrid again this season.
According to the aforementioned publication, Bale will turn down a return to Tottenham Hotspur as he wants to hang on to his £600,000 weekly contract at Real Madrid.
He has three years left on his current deal at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Bale was a Tottenham Hotspur player until the summer of 2013 when he made his then world-record transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Real Madrid paid around £85.3m to secure his transfer and he has won four Champions League titles since his move to Spain.
