The Merseyside outfit chairman Tom Werner has made it clear that manager Jurgen Klopp will be given all the needed support and finance to compete for titles in the coming season.

The Reds chairman stated that the team will not always settle for second place but they seek to be the winner and challenge or titles.

However, the Reds team have decided to begin the search for qualitative additions ahead of the window and they have their attention on German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen’s playmaker Julian Brandt for the coming season.

ESPN reports that Julian Brandt has got a release clause of £21.5 million which could be affordable but they will face competition from German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund who are also keen on him.

So far this season, the star playmaker has earned 42 appearances, scoring 9 goals and providing 17 assists and he has been tipped to help the Liverpool team with more wins and assists as he will have the right company with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Meanwhile, the Merseyside outfit are arguably the most improved team in entire Europe as they have been able to deliver quality attack and defence to suffer just a defeat in the entire season
