AS Monaco are a place clear of the relegation zone on the French Ligue 1 table by virtue of goal difference.

Youri Tielemans was initially linked with both Manchester United and Arsenal during the winter transfer window before his loan move to the Foxes.

Leicester City will need at least £40m for the player to join them permanently this summer according to recent reports.

The player talked about his future in a recent interview monitored by Goal.

According to Tielemans, he has no idea where his future lies at the moment but he will return to Monaco when his loan deal at Leicester City expires.

Tottenham manager has blasted Arsenal for a post he claims to be mocking his side.

The North London outfit suffered a defeat against Sheffield United and Arsenal posted on their Facebook page, highlights of their FA Cup win at Bramall Lane last weekend, with the caption: “It’s not easy beating Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.”

The Portuguese boss feels offended with Arsenal’s post and claims their North London rivals do not have any success to celebrate, hence have no moral right to mock his team for suffering a defeat.

Mourinho told Sky Sports that if the Gunners were top of the league or fighting for top four, they wouldn’t enjoy the problems of others.

He noted that Arsenal are not in a better position than his team in any way but stressed that he is not sure the person behind the post is the club manager, Mikel Arteta or any of the players but one of the club media team.

The former Man United boss, therefore, issued a threat ahead of their North London derby clash on July 12, stating that “we will be waiting for them”

Tottenham will be playing their game against Everton later on Monday but there is no doubt that Mourinho already has the game against Arsenal in mind.

Arsenal ready to welcome in Hat-trick hero

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to land Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin in the coming summer transfer window, according to reports.

The flying winger has been in top form for Newcastle since the restart of the season and the highlight of his performance is the hat-trick he scored against Bournemouth.

The France international is reportedly ready for a move with Newcastle ready to let him leave for the right price. Allan Saint-Maximin joined the club for a fee of £20 million and they will be hoping to make some profit from his sale.

With speculations that Arsenal will be doing away with Alexandre Lacazette in the summer window, Allan Saint-Maximin could be a good replacement and he could as well join the Arteta team without Lacazette’s exit.

This is because manager Mikel Arteta made it very clear that he will now make more use of the former Lyon striker in the coming games, noting that he has got a lot to offer his team.

The Spanish boss, therefore, stated that he will be waiting patiently for the end of the season to have contract extension negotiation with the former Lyon striker as the focus, for now, is to secure a ticket for European football ahead of the coming season.

Mikel Arteta

Against all odds, Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta still has his head up high on the bid to secure a Champions League qualification for next season.

About two weeks ago, the Gunners were not sure of qualification to the Europa League and the Champions League respectively but that seems to be turning around following their victory against Wolverhampton.

With Arsenal hosting Leicester City on Tuesday, a win will further brighten their chances and Mikel Arteta is urging his players to do more to win the game, stressing that there is no room for error in the game.

Five games are left to the end of the season, Arteta believes Champions League football is still possible but they must win all games to stand the chance.

Leicester City with 58 points will face Arsenal who boasts of 49 points, 8 behind fourth-placed Chelsea and 6 behind fifth-placed Man United, a win against the Foxes will mean a lot to the North London outfit and have an effect on the EPL table.

Mikel Arteta stated that preparation for his team is key and they must remain focused and committed in all of their remaining games.

No doubt, a Champions League qualification for Arsenal will mean a lot to Mikel Arteta as the manager in charge.

Alexandre Lacazette

There are indications that Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette will not be leaving the club anytime soon against claims that he is one of the players that could be swapped for newcomers.

The France international is listed alongside Lucas Torriera and Matteo Guendouzi as players who could be swapped for Atletico Madrid player Thomas Partey.

It is claimed that the Gunners are keen on the Atletico Madrid player and are ready to swap any of the above-mentioned players in the deal.

The chances of this happening are now very slim with manager Mikel Arteta claiming that Lacazette has enough to offer the club.

According to him, he has under-used the France international in the past and will now consider him for more roles in the coming games.

Lacazette was on Arsenal’ score sheet when they defeated Wolverhampton by 2-0 at the weekend.

Arteta has now confirmed that Lacazette needs to have more opportunities in the future which means he is highly needed at the club and will not be sold in this summer window.

Arteta is hoping to keep his best legs after stating that the club is not a selling one.

The North London outfit are more focused on securing a Europa League ticket ahead of next season.

What Arteta must do to succeed revealed

Mikel Arteta

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been advised to follow the footsteps of current English Premier League champions, Liverpool if he must lead his club to success.

Arteta might be having his honeymoon at the Emirates Stadium but that does not mean the club will not fancy good results and titles.

The Gunners are struggling to earn a spot in the Europa League ahead of next season with five matches left.

Before now, the Arsenal team has been struggling and their fate has been attributed to lack of quality and depth.

The club’s former player Sol Campbell has now urged Mikel Arteta to follow the footsteps of Liverpool by recruiting a world-class defender like Virgil Van Dijk.

It would be recalled that the Reds team saw a massive turnaround with the coming of Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton.

Of a truth, the Gunners have suffered a lack of quality and depth in their defence, reason why they have not been able to fly in the last seasons.

Sol Campbell stated that Arsenal must involve in big money buys to be able to catch up with their counterparts.

Meanwhile, the Spanish boss has made it known that the club will be active in the summer window but the quality of players they might bring in is still unknown.

Arteta confirms Arsenal’s summer transfer deals

Mikel Arteta

We have now heard from the horse’s mouth that Arsenal will be fully involved in the coming summer transfer window.

This is according manager Mikel Arteta who claims the best thing to do is to get busy in the summer transfer market if the club must compete for titles in the coming season.

Arteta hinted that there will be more buys this summer window, compared to the last window in winter, explaining that the club only wanted to fill some gaps in January so as to stabilize the team.

He told Sky Sports that there is a need to improve the squad, noting that the gap between top Premier League clubs is getting wider and everyone is making efforts to close it down.

However, Arsenal will have to wait until the end of the season as they still battle to book a ticket for Europa League with the Champions League looking unlikely.

With five games left, Arsenal are 7th on the league table and the spot is yet to be sealed.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of players but top on the list is Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey who is also keen to join.

A number of players are also expected to leave the Emirates Stadium to pave ways for newcomers.

Which of these players would be sacrificed for Partey

Thomas Partey

The reports of Arsenal’s interest in Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey is unending with claims that the Gunners have stepped up their chase for the Ghana International midfielder.

A move for the midfielder is being threatened by funds and the North London outfit are busy with how to sanction the deal, according to The Mail.

While a swap deal is being considered, the names of Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi and Alexandre Lacazette have also continued to pop up.

Should that be the case, one of them will be part of the swap deal for Arsenal to succeed in snapping up the player.

The question of who to sacrifice and unwanted at the club has been the bone of contention.

Guendouzi at the moment is not finding life interesting at the Emirates Stadium as a result of the controversies he has been into, the reason why he has been left out of the squad for a couple of games. He is reported to have told the club hierarchy of his decision to leave the club.

Maybe he should pave way for the Ghana international since they play almost the same role on the pitch and Partey is a more preferred player.

Surprisingly, Alexandre Lacazette is always mentioned as names of those that should leave the club despite his quality and goal scoring ability. No doubt that most fans will not wish to see this happen.

Also, Lucas Torriera has been fantastic in his own right, despite battling with injuries but there are no doubts of his quality in the central midfield.

The decision would be left to the Arsenal management to make on who should be sacrificed.

Arsenal not favoured in latest analysis

Alexandre Lacazette

Arsenal have not been favoured in the latest analysis of who makes it to the Champions League next season.

Jamie Redknapp gave this analysis after seeing Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United recording wins at the weekend.

According to him, Man United could finish third ahead of Chelsea because they have been consistent in their fine form, especially after defeating Bournemouth by 5-2.

He predicts that Chelsea will be toppled by the Red Devils and they could find themselves finishing fourth which still guarantees them a Champions League spot.

However, Jamie Redknapp ruled Arsenal out of any chance to make it to the top four after claiming Leicester City will finish fifth leaving Arsenal and Sheffield United to battle for the sixth and seventh positions.

It was earlier thought that the Gunners will make it to the Champions League but the two defeats suffered in the restart of the league caused the setback with their chances looking very slim.

Unfortunately, Jamie Redknapp’s analysis could just become a reality and Arsenal will add one more year away from Champions League football but it is almost certain that they will book a ticket to the Europa League.

This will largely depend on their performances in the remaining games to the end of the season.
