Deal Still On: Atletico Madrid Transfer Held Up For Arsenal Target

FC Porto midfielder Hector Herrera is still on course to join Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid this summer despite the current challenges being faced by the player who has also been linked with clubs like AC Milan and Arsenal.
Earlier reports had claimed that Hector Herrera will join Atletico Madrid at the end of this season after the Mexican international star agreed on a free transfer move with the Spaniards.
Arsenal and AC Milan were also keen on a free transfer for him only for the player to snub both teams in favour of Eintracht Frankfurt.
An official announcement for the transfer will have to wait due to passport issues according to Spanish newspaper AS.
It was revealed that Hector Herrera is waiting for his Portuguese passport by July and he’s expected to join Atletico Madrid afterwards.
North London giants Arsenal are on the search for a new midfielder but they will have to look elsewhere.
The Gunners need a midfield replacement for Aaron Ramsey who will join Italian Serie A giants Juventus on a free transfer this summer.
Welsh international Ramsey has already agreed on a four-year deal with Juventus to become the highest paid player amongst the British footballers at weekly wages of £400,000.
