It has been established that the defeat suffered by English Premier League outfit Liverpool to Spanish La Liga side Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals will force manager Jurgen Klopp to the summer transfer market to sign at least a player.

The Reds team were hammered 3-0 with one of the goals coming from a former player Luis Suarez and the other two from the Argentina international Lionel Messi.

Before now, manager Jurgen Klopp had stated that his team will have no need to do enough deals because he wants to keep his team together as he also does not expect to sign big names.

However, the defeat against Barcelona has revealed that there is a need to land a world-class No. 9 in the team as the decision by the German boss to play Georginio Wijnaldum in that position backfired.

Although, Jurgen Klopp had the arsenal of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane that did not produce any result as they were all unable to make good use of their chances which would have meant a different result on the scoreboard.

This, therefore, calls for an urgent need for the club to bring in a classical No. 9 who can score a total of 30 goals in a season to help out.
