It has been reported that West London outfit Chelsea have sent their scout to Portugal to monitor Rio Ave’s 2-2 draw against Porto on Friday.
The report claims that the scouts were on the pitch just to watch Porto’s left-back Alex Telles as the Blues are keen to land a player in that position as soon as the summer transfer window is opened.
Alex Teles has been impressing for Porto this season and has been on the wish list of a number of clubs including Spanish La Liga outfits Atletico Madrid and Sevilla while Man United and AC Milan are also big suitors for the star player.
A move of a £35 million claimed to be discussed with Atletico Madrid for a move to the Spanish capital but a deal did not fall through because an agreement was not reached between both sides.
However, it is claimed that the West London outfit have concluded on the scouting report for the star player and will make an attempt for him as soon as the summer transfer window is reopened.
Meanwhile, the Blues team is suffering a transfer ban at the moment and they will not be able to have a new player until the next two transfer windows.
