Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Fraser has admitted that transfer talks linking him with a move away from the South Coast club are a distraction.

The Scottish national team player said this in an interview with BBC Scotland as he pointed out that his focus in on doing well with Bournemouth.

Ryan Fraser also told reporters that he’s happy with life on the South Coast amidst the interest from other Premier League clubs especially North London giants Arsenal.

The Gunners are said to be monitoring his situation at Bournemouth with the aim of swooping for him this summer.

In an earlier interview, Ryan Fraser talked about his delight at the transfer links involving him and that the interest from other clubs shows that he’s doing something right.

Ryan Fraser has been in fantastic form for Bournemouth since the start of the season.

He has scored seven goals and provided 11 assists for Bournemouth in the Premier League this term.

Fraser joined the Cherries from Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen for just £400,000 and he has been a wonderful servant for the club.

He has a year left on his current contract with Bournemouth and they could cash in on him this summer to avoid losing him for free when his deal expires in 2020.

Houssem Aouar

If emerging reports are to be believed, then the English Premier League club Arsenal might announce another summer signing before the transfer window ends on October 5.

So far, the North London club have been able to confirm the capture of Willian from Chelsea and Gabriel Magalhaes from French Ligue 1 club Lille while two other on-loan players were made permanent with the coming of William Saliba from loan to make it a busy window for the Gunners.

However, the Gunners are now believed to be chasing the signature of French Ligue 1 outfit Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey as their remaining target for the summer window.

It is now being reported by Daily Star that the North London club have agreed on personal terms with the player but there has not been an agreement on a fee with Lyon.

It is understood that Houssem Aouar wants to join Arsenal and will do all he can to make it happen but Arsenal will have to agree with Lyon as a fee of £60 million is being negotiated.

Mikel Arteta is making efforts to make Arsenal title contenders and has identified the need to bring in quality players to help the project.

The summer transfer window might just be starting for Premier League champions Liverpool as they are reported to have agreed on a deal for Thiago Alcantara.

Now it is reported that they are in the race against FA Cup and Community Shield winners, Arsenal for the signature of Sporting Clube de Portugal full-back Nuno Mendes.

Nuno Mendes gave an impressive performance for his team after the lockdown under manager Ruben Amorim to be attracting interest from all corners across Europe.

Two Serie A outfits, Juventus and AC Milan are also reported to be attracted to Nuno Mendes and are preparing an offer to land him before the window ends.

However, the battle is between Arsenal and Liverpool but that will highly depend on the need for the clubs as Arsenal will not make a left-back signing a priority with the presence of Tierney and Ainsley-Maitland Niles for the position.

The concern for Arsenal in the transfer window is to secure Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid and Houssem Aouar from Lyon before it ends on October 5.

At the moment, the North London outfit look stable at the back with the coming of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba in the team.

The latest report reveals that Arsenal’s bid for the signature of Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has not gone as planned as it was rejected by the Championship side.

It is understood that the North London outfit went with a £10 million bid for the Spanish goalkeeper but he is valued more than that by Brentford which makes them reject the bid, according to Telegraph.

David Raya is expected to serve as a replacement for Argentina international stopper Emi Martinez as the Gunners are desperate to have more options in the goalkeeping department.

Emi Martinez has moved to join Aston Villa in the region of £20 million after many years as a substitute at the Emirates Stadium but his end was marked with superb performances that made Arsenal fans call for his stay.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper left the club when the ovation was high after helping to win the FA Cup title and the Community Shield with the absence of Bernd Leno to injury.

However, the Gunners are reportedly set to seal the signature of Dijon goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson with claims that he has undergone the first medicals in France. It is reported that Arsenal will pay within the sum of £1.6 million.

FA Cup champions Arsenal have tabled a bid for highly rated Brentford goalkeeper David Raya according to the report from The Telegraph.

It was revealed that the Gunners had firmed up their interest in the shot stopper with a formal bid.

Arsenal have made a £10m bid for David Raya but Brentford want the goalkeeper on loan for this season before agreeing to the transfer.

The Gunners are already closing in on the signing of another goalkeeper, Runar Alex Runarsson from French club Dijon for a transfer fee believed to be around £1m.

Runar Alex Runarsson is seen by many Arsenal fans as the replacement for former second choice shot stopper Emiliano Martinez who has just signed for fellow Premier League outfit Aston Villa in a £20m deal. However, it looks like the Gunners have a plan to sign another goalkeeper especially with the future of third choice goalkeeper Matt Macey in doubt.

Icelandic international Runarsson has already done his Arsenal medicals and his transfer should be confirmed before the week runs out.

New Aston Villa signing Emiliano Martinez had played second fiddle to Bernd Leno in the Arsenal goal until last season when he got a taste of first team football with Leno injured.

Thomas Partey

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is working on a tight transfer budget in the current transfer window, and he might be forced to pick between two of his midfield targets.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar are the top two targets for Arteta as he looks to improve the quality in his midfield.

Ideally, the Gunners boss wants to sign the two players but that might not be possible due to a lack of adequate finance to pull off the two deals. To this effect, Arteta has decided to prioritise the transfer for Houssem Aouar ahead of the Thomas Partey deal according to the report from Metro.

Arsenal will have to sell the deadwoods in the squad to fund the moves for Aouar and Partey but that’s proving to be very difficult as they are finding it hard to offload players.

The Gunners might need to spend £130m on Partey and Aouar for their transfer fees and weekly salary.

Arteta and Arsenal will need to pay the £45m release clause in the Atletico Madrid contract of Thomas Partey to sign him, while Houssem Aouar is the subject of a £60m asking price from Lyon plus £100,000 in weekly wages.

Lucas Torreira

Italian Serie A giants AC Milan have made an enquiry about the availability of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira according to transfer news guru Gianluca Di Marzio.

The seven-time European champions have held an interest in Lucas Torreira and they have decided to firm up their interest with an official bid.

Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed the interest of AC Milan in the Uruguayan international via his official Twitter account.

Torreira, 24, is available for a transfer this summer as he has not been able to convince Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta that he deserves a regular place in his starting XI.

Arteta and Arsenal are trying to raise funds for new midfield signings and the sale of Lucas Torreira could be crucial to this.

Another transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano revealed that the Gunners have only received loan bids for Lucas Torreira.

Apart from AC Milan, Fiorentina and Torino are also keen to sign Lucas Torreira.

Fiorentina and Torino have been able to offer loan deals for the player with the obligation of making the signing permanent at the end of the loan. On their part, Arsenal are holding out for a permanent deal of £22m which is some millions short of the £26m paid for his transfer in 2018.

Houssem Aouar

French football news specialist Julien Laurens has confirmed that Arsenal are planning to make a bid for Lyon star Houssem Aouar and that this would be possible after the exit of Lucas Torreira.

According to him, Arsenal will have to sell players before they can commit a huge sum of money on Houssem Aouar.

Lyon skipper Aouar is available for a transfer at the right price.

Gunners midfielder Lucas Torreira is attracting interest from Italian Serie A clubs and his transfer will open up a space in the Arsenal midfield and also provide funds.

The North Londoners have set their asking price at £22m for Lucas Torreira.

Italian clubs like Torino, Fiorentina and AC Milan have all been linked with the 24-year-old but it looks like his destination could be in Turin.

He’s on course to link up with former manager Marco Giampaolo at Torino. Both parties worked together at Sampdoria.

Torino are ready to meet the asking price set by the Gunners for their transfer target but they are not ready to pay it at once. The Italians have reportedly offered a loan deal for the player with the obligation to sign him on a permanent deal at the end of the loan contract.

Popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has hinted that the North London outfit Arsenal will sign Runar Alex Runarsson this week with the hope that an agreement will be reached with Arsenal.

Runar Alex Runarsson is expected to join the Gunners from French club Dijon as a replacement for Emiliano Martinez who has left the Emirates Stadium to join Aston Villa in a region of £20 million.

Emiliano Martinez was keen on a regular first-team football ahead of Bernd Leno but he cannot be trusted for that role by manager Mikel Arteta despite his world-class performance.

It is the wish of the Spanish manager for the Argentine to remain as he was offered a new and improved deal but he turned it down making North London lacking in options of a goalkeeper.

Runar Alex Runarsson and David Raya from Brentford have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium and it is believed that one of them will make a move with the Italian journalist claiming that the France-based shot-stopper will be favoured for a move.

When asked if Runar Alex Runarsson will be signing for Arsenal Fabrizio Romano replied “Yes, He’ll join Arsenal as Emi Martinez replacement.
