Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has praised the impact of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the team since he took charge of first-team affairs towards the end of last year.

Argentine international Rojo spoke about Solskjaer and the encouragement he has received from him on his fitness issues in an interview with the Manchester United TV.

According to him, Solskjaer told him to concentrate on his recovery from injury while assuring him that he’s a part of his plans at the club.

Marcos Rojo has had to battle with several injury problems this season and that has limited his appearances to just four in all competitions this term.

The former Sporting Lisbon utility defender has made three league outings for the Red Devils this season.

He could be in line for a fourth league appearance against London club West Ham United in their Premier League meeting on Saturday evening.

Manchester United have a mini-defensive crisis especially in the fullback positions with both Luke Shaw and Ashley Young suspended for the West Ham United game.

The likes of Antonio Valencia and Matteo Damian are struggling for fitness.

Marcos Rojo could start against the Hammers at left-back as Manchester United attempt to put a stop to the run of four defeats in the last five games in all competitions.
