Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne has complained about his side’s poor performance against North London giants Arsenal in the Europa League.

Insigne and Napoli were beaten 2-0 by the Gunners in their Europa League quarterfinal first leg meeting held at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.

After the game, Lorenzo Insigne rued his team’s poor performance, especially in the first half.

The Italian international star spoke to Sky Sports Italia about the game and also pointed out that he should have done better with the chance he had to score an away goal for Napoli.

Lorenzo Insigne could have scored an away goal for Napoli towards the end of the first half but he didn’t take his chance.

Apart from the first half chance for the Italian, Piotr Zelinski also wasted a second-half opportunity to give the Italians an away goal after being setup by the aforementioned Insigne.

Arsenal did most of the hard work in the first half of the game after they scored two goals within ten minutes.

Aaron Ramsey gave the Gunners the lead in the 15th minute before an own goal from Senegalese international Kalidou Koulibaly doubled the advantage for the hosts off the strike from Lucas Torreira who was making a return to the Arsenal starting XI after a three-game ban in the Premier League.
