There are every indications that Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will be staying at the Stamford Bridge ahead of next season after his claims which hint at transfer activities and plans for the coming campaign.

The Italian boss was very particular about Mateo Kovacic as he hinted that he would ensure that the player is kept at the club on a permanent deal so that he will help the team with his tactical play.

Mateo Kovacic was favoured out of the Real Madrid team and was sent on loan to the West London outfit. He has since been transformed and given a major role in the Italian’s team with about 42 appearances across all competitions and 28 of them in the Premier League with 19 starts.

However, Maurizio Sarri showered praise on the star player insisting that he has got the quality to help the team, stressing that he needs a technical player to be able to play the defensive role at the midfield.

Meanwhile, the signing of Mateo Kovacic on a permanent role will be a welcome development for Chelsea but all of these are dependent on what the outcome of the appeal is as the club are not allowed to sign any player until after two transfer windows.
