Egyptian international and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has reacted to his goal against Southampton as it was enough to break a club record on Friday.

The former AS Roma star scored the second goal for the Reds team to help seal a 3-1 win against Southampton on Friday night at the St. Mary.

The goal was his 50th goal for Liverpool and that is the fastest they have seen as a club in the number of games he has played which was spice to ending his goal drought after 8 games of silence.

Mohamed Salah noted that scoring the 50th goal for Liverpool in the Premier League is special to him to make it his 18th goal of the season but what is most important is the fact that three points have been won for his team.

However, Liverpool are now top in the Premier League table with two points clear ahead of Man City and that is no doubt a big boost to their pursuit of the league title.

Meanwhile, the win also makes it the Merseyside outfit’s 16th points from losing positions in the Premier League, the most that has been recorded by any club this season, according to Optajoe.
