It has been revealed that North London outfit Chelsea central defender David Luiz has refused to part ways with the Blues team despite receiving a luring offer from an unnamed club in Qatar.

It is claimed that David Luiz was given a luring deal worth £220,000-a-week but he was not interested in the move as he opted to remain with the Blues team and play in the English Premier League.

However, David Luiz is believed to earn about £130,000 at the Stamford Bridge at the moment with his current contract expected to run out at the end of the season. While a new deal for the Brazilian central defender has not been agreed upon, there are no chances that he would be handed a new contract as high as £220,000.

Meanwhile, David Luiz has got a number of suitors, but he seems to be keen on staying with the Blues team despite the reluctance of the club to hand him a new deal.

The West London outfit have got a transfer policy which stops them from handing more than a year contract extension to players who are above 30 but David Luiz has demanded to be an exception from the principle.
