Lille president Gerard Lopez has reiterated that transfer talks about star player Nicolas Pepe has been put on hold until the end of the season.
According to him, the club won’t entertain any offers for the young Ivorian international winger until May.
He made this known in a chat with media outlet La Voix du Nord.
Gerard Lopez has had to deal with enquiries for Nicolas Pepe and fellow forward Rafael Leao.
Pepe has been linked with clubs like German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain and North London giants Arsenal while the aforementioned Leao has been touted as a possible transfer addition for Merseyside giants Everton and Spanish champions Barcelona.
Nicolas Pepe has been in sensational form for Lille this season and his form has propelled his team to the second spot on the league table.
Lille are on course to return to Champions League football next season.
Pepe scored his 18th goal of the season as Lille came from behind to beat Nantes 3-2 away from home in their league clash on Sunday evening.
He has also provided eight goals for his team this term.
Arsenal are in the market for a winger this summer and Nicolas Pepe is said to be on their list of transfer targets.
