Media outlet Futebol Interior via Football London revealed that the Gunners have reached a verbal agreement for young Brazilian attacker Gabriel Martinelli.
It was revealed that Arsenal have a deal in place with his Brazilian club Ituano.
North London giants Arsenal will have to pay at least £6.5m for him.
An announcement will be delayed until the young Brazilian player gets his Italian passport.
Gabriel Martinelli had previously had trials at Spanish champions Barcelona and Premier League club Manchester United.
The 17-year-old is definitely one for the future for the Gunners who are planning to sign players ahead of next season.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is said to be targeting at least four positions ahead of this summer’s transfer window in his bid to continue his rebuilding job at the club.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is leaving for Juventus and the Gunners are eyeing a replacement for him.
Apart from the midfield, Unai Emery and Arsenal want to strengthen other areas of the team.
A new left-back, a new centre back and a new winger are all top priority for the Gunners.
