West London outfit Chelsea legend and Derby County manager Frank Lampard has hinted that he is happy with manager Maurizio Sarri at the Stamford Bridge and will want the Italian to remain in charge ahead of next season.

The former Napoli boss has been criticized for his style of play which has not produced any result at the club and he is speculated to be facing sack as soon as the season comes to an end especially now that it is unsure he would not qualify for the Champions League and has been eliminated from the FA Cup and Carabao Cup respectively.

Frank Lampard is of the opinion that manager Maurizio Sarri is a good manager, recalling what transpired between them when the two sides clashed in the Carabao Cup.

Sadly for the Blues legend, his dream in the Carabao Cup for Derby County was ended by his former side in a 3-2 encounter at the Stamford Bridge.

According to the former Blues midfielder, he has respect for Maurizio Sarri because the manager has got a belief in philosophy or system, noting that he now knows why the Napoli team play such a fantastic football.

However, Sarri’s job could be saved if he ends up winning the Europa League as they are now in the quarterfinals.
