Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is ready to fight off Manchester United in their bid to sign one of his players ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
Leicester City defender Harry Maguire has emerged as a top transfer target for the Red Devils in recent weeks but his manager is not ready to entertain any thought of a move to Old Trafford.
Rodgers talked about Harry Maguire and Manchester United during his pre-match press conference on Thursday ahead of the weekend’s Premier League game at home to South Coast club Bournemouth.
According to him, it’s normal for clubs to be linked with his players including Harry Maguire but the England international is not for sale.
Harry Maguire is a long-term defensive target for Manchester dating back to last summer when Leicester City turned down more than one bid for the player from the Red Devils.
He was linked with a move to Manchester United shortly after a superb outing for the Three Lions of England at last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
Harry Maguire has been a stalwart in the Leicester City defence since he joined the Foxes from Hull City at the start of last season.
He was unable to prevent Hull City from suffering Premier League relegation in 2017.
