Merseyside outfit Liverpool star Andy Robertson has come under attack from football lovers in Scotland over his lack of commitment to the national team side.

The left full-back was missing when his national side were defeated by Kazakhstan despite declaring himself fit for San Marino.

Andy Robertson is not the only player facing the criticism as he is being joined by Ryan Fraser and Callum Paterson, who were all messing in their 3-0 defeat earlier on Wednesday.

However, he has reacted to the bashing from the football fans, stating that he is trying his best to play for the country as he stressed that he is desperate to do that.

According to him, he was unhappy that he could not participate in the game which ensured their defeat and was unhappy about that, noting that his commitment should not be under doubt.

However, there are suggestions that Andy Robertson is only being cautious of the fact that he must remain fit to be able to return for Liverpool as they press on for the English Premier League title this season.

The Reds team have not won the domestic title since 1990 and they hope to break the deadlock at the end of this season.
