Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has revealed the uncertainty surrounding his future at the North London club amidst the transfer rumours linking him with a move to Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Alderweireld told Sky Sports that his focus is on Tottenham Hotspur at the moment but he does not know what the future holds for him.
The Belgian international centre back initially had few months left on his Tottenham Hotspur contract but the club has exercised the extra year clause to take him till 2020 at the club.
With the extra year activated, the 30-year-old now has a £25m release clause in his Spurs contract.
The aforementioned release clause can be activated by potential suitors when the transfer window reopens this summer.
