North London giants Arsenal have been given a tough quarterfinal fixture in the Europa League after the draw was held at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday afternoon.
The Gunners will face Italian Serie A giants Napoli in the quarterfinals as they attempt to forge ahead in their quest to win the competition.
Arsenal and Napoli are two of the top three favourites to win the Europa League this season.
Arsenal will host the first leg at the Emirates Stadium on the 11th of April before the second leg at the Sao Paolo on April 18.
The Gunners booked their quarterfinal spot by beating French club Rennes 4-3 on aggregate.
They had lost the first leg 3-1 in France before the last 16 tie was overturned via a 3-0 home win on Thursday night.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the hero for Arsenal after the Gabonese international striker scored two goals and also provided an assist to lead his side into the last eight.
Aubameyang has now scored 22 goals in all competitions for Arsenal this term.
The winner of the quarterfinal tie between Arsenal and Napoli will face the victor from the all-Spanish affair between Villareal and Valencia.
Italian giants Napoli secured a 4-3 aggregate win over Red Bull Salzburg in their last 16 tie.
Arsenal Officially Agree Loan Deal For Dani Ceballos
North London giants Arsenal have agreed to a loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.
According to BBC journalist David Ornstein, Dani Ceballos would spend the next season on loan at Arsenal without the option of a permanent deal.
The loan deal to Arsenal could be completed as early as Tuesday.
Dani Ceballos had earlier revealed in his last interview that he wants to play more this season and the Spaniard believes that he can make that wish happen at Arsenal.

The 22-year-old was on the outskirts of the Real Madrid team for the majority of last season but he’s expected to get more first-team opportunities at Arsenal.
Dani Ceballos has spent two seasons at Real Madrid since joining from fellow Spanish La Liga club Real Betis.
He was recently part of the Spanish team that won the European u21 Championship this summer.
Dani Ceballos and Spain beat Germany 2-1 in the final of the tournament hosted by Italy and San Marino.
The player would be a direct replacement for Aaron Ramsey who left the Gunners for Juventus this summer.
The Welsh international spent over a decade at Arsenal before leaving the club on a free transfer earlier this summer.
Guardiola, Rummenigge In Feud Over Arsenal Target
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his former employers at Bayern have been involved in a war of words over winger Leroy Sane.
Bayern Munich have been constantly linked with Manchester City winger Sane for the majority of this summer and their pursuit has led to some sort of tension between Guardiola and the Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Sane was previously linked to Arsenal at the earlier part of this summer’s transfer window.
On the pursuit of Sane, Pep Guardiola warned Bayern Munich to stay off his player during his press conference at the Premier League Asia Trophy at the weekend.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge while responding to the Manchester City manager in an interview monitored by The Sun took a swipe at the Spanish tactician.
The Bayern Munich supremo implied that Pep Guardiola is not aware of a lot of things at Manchester City.
Leroy Sane is attracting serious interest from the German champions who are looking for wing replacements for veterans Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben.
Ribery and Robben left the Bavarian giants at the end of last season shortly after they helped the team to a seventh successive league title.
Both players were on target in their final game for Bayern Munich.
Arsenal Dealt Big Blow In Wilfried Zaha Chase
North London giants Arsenal have received a major transfer setback in their quest to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha during the current transfer window.
According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are reluctant to sell the player to Arsenal unless the Gunners meet their £80m valuation.
The Eagles would only be interested in lowering their financial demands for a Champions League playing club.
Arsenal failed to qualify for the Champions League for the third successive season at the end of last season.
The Gunners finished outside the Champions League places at the end of last season.
Only the top four Premier League places guarantee Champions League football.
Arsenal missed out via a fifth-place finish at the end of the season.
The Gunners could have also qualified for Champions League football via the Europa League.
Arsenal were beaten 4-1 by London rivals Chelsea in the final of the competition.
Zaha has talked up his dream move to Arsenal having pointed out in one of his earlier interviews that he supported the North Londoners as a boy.
The 26-year-old has already told Crystal Palace officials that this summer is the right time for him to leave the club despite signing a new contract as early as last year.
