English Premier League outfit Liverpool are now through to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League after defeating German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich 3-1 at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

The Reds had played a goalless draw in the first leg of the round of 16 and it was thought that Bayern Munich will seal a win at their home ground but that did not happen as Sadio Mane fired a brace in the two half before another header by Virgil Van Dijk.

In his reaction, Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac congratulated the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp on the win as he made it clear that the English Premier League side deserve the win because they were better.

He noted that Liverpool is a strong side and they were better in the two games which makes them the favourite in the game. He added that a lot of quality was displayed by the Jurgen Klopp side in their second goal and that was enough to decide the game.

However, Niko Kovac said his team have about two titles to fight for which means they must move on from the defeat and ensure they achieve something at the end of the season.
